Are you one of those people who loves salad for lunch, but doesn't think it works in a packed lunch - maybe because it's a hassle, or because you think the salad gets bland and mushy before you hit mealtime?
You might want to try salad in a jar, because everything is in one container, layered so nothing gets soggy or greasy. On the contrary, the dressing ensures that flavour is added to, say, the boiled potatoes, pearl barley or quinoa, while the raw vegetables remain crisp.
Then, when you're ready to eat, simply turn the salad from the glass onto a plate and it's ready to serve.
The salads can be adapted exactly to what you have in the fridge, or perhaps a leftover from dinner.
