1. Mix the flour, salt, cocoa, baking powder and walnuts in a bowl.

2. In another bowl, beat the eggs, sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy.

3. Whisk in the oil and gradually add the dry ingredients.

4. Line a square tin (20x20cm) with baking paper and pour the dough into it.

5. Bake the cake in the middle of the oven at 150°C for about 40 minutes.

6. Leave the cake to cool in the tin on a baking tray for an hour.

Covers and decorations
1. Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a water bath.

2. Stir the oil into the chocolate and leave to cool slightly.

3. Spread the coating evenly over the cooled cake.

Garnish with chopped walnuts if desired.
